  • The ram guitar pictures to print-colour2bRam Club features some of the world’s finest musicians on stage every Friday night and is one of the most successful acoustic music venues in the UK. The atmosphere is informal and this is reflected in the warmth and intimacy of the weekly concerts. It is called a club but everyone, whether a member or not, is made more than welcome. Just turn up and pay at the door (we very rarely sell tickets in advance).

The concerts are held at the Old Cranleighan Club in Thames Ditton, Surrey.  The bar opens at 7.30pm and the hall doors open at 8.15pm.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Ram Club response to the virus threat

You may well have seen this coming – but it’s nonetheless with as much exasperation as disappointment that we’re having to cancel all Ram gigs from January to July 2021.

The outlook for folk clubs, and for live music generally, remains precarious and after extensive discussions between ourselves, our supportive venue managers JJ and Georgie Griffin, as well as artists and agents, it is clear that we cannot safely reopen the Ram’s doors, as had been hoped and planned, from January 2021.

Covid compliance inside the Old Cranleighans cannot easily be accomplished or guaranteed in any way that is compatible with staging live music.

Are we downcast? Naturally. But, after 38 years of the Ram, neither are we feeling defeated. So, in the hope of preserving our tenure at the OC, we’re taking no steps at this stage to cancel the programme already booked from September 2021 onwards. Fingers crossed that by then folk music will be discovered to contain the vaccine.
